Malevolence Reborn

Game 01

The party is on a boat owned by the family of and captained by Ausk. The ship has been chartered by Chuck’s Cleric’s Order to transport Chuck to Bloodcove. At Bloodcove, he is to report to the Order’s resident Abbot and check on the Prophet… for whom Chuck was one an Amansuetic Scribe.

During the voyage, Erewhon, an escaped slave and druid, spoke secretly with a dolphin who warned him of an approaching storm. The Captain tried to pilot around the storm which tracked along every evasive maneuver attempted. Suddenly, small water elementals apparently commanded by a larger elemental attacked the ship. The crew repelled the attackers and the storm dissipated.

At Bloodcove, the Party tagged along with Chuck to the Monastery where they met the Prophet attended by a lovely young Scribe. Acting true to his nature, Todd attempted to seduce the young woman. He was doing well when the Prophet intervened. Finally speaking to the Abbot, the party was informed about the Prophet’s history (which Chuck knew) and that the evil the Prophet had attempted to track was returning.

The maps and journals belonging to the Prophet were stored in the catacombs…. but the Abbot had lost the keys to bypass the traps. Chuck volunteered to retrieve them and no one else stepped up to help. It took him a couple hours and several singed robes, but he returned with all the papers.

While the party was pouring over the maps, Ausk helped himself to the alms box located near the entrance of the temple.
